FRIDAY NIGHT IN ALPINE
(RKB, 2007, A, 4:02)
1.) Grandpa stood there all confused, re-arranging the toy Godzillas.
Bunny stood behind the bar, serving the Sasparillas.
The sun had set in Alpine, where cowboys spend their pay.
Riley saddled up to the piano, began to play…
2.) Friday night in Alpine brought some rowdy, rip-roarin' fun.
Bamboozle marked the cards, while the Bambino checked his gun.
The Muckin and the Papushka would be serving' steak and grits.
And later they'd be dancing, and the fightin' would commence.
3.) Suddenly the bar doors swung open, and there stood Kimberloo.
Fastest gun in Texas, and in Oklahoma too.
"Let's get this party rollin", and she fired off a shot at the moon.
The bullet rang off the frying pan, then landed right in the spittoon.
(GUITAR LEAD)
4.) Trouble finally showed up when the place was in full swing.
The Brady Gang started getting' fresh with the pretty lil' young things.
And one of 'em didn't like the way Bamboozle dealt the deck.
And another didn't leave a tip. So what do you expect?
5.) Paw Brady started runnin' his mouth, and insults were exchanged.
A drifter reached across the bar, and grabbed five dollars change.
The Bunny hollered "Thief!" and then the riot, it broke out.
The Brady's pulled their pistols, and began to shoot and shout.
(GUITAR LEAD)
6.) But Bambino said "Boys I think you'd best make other plans."
And in a cloud of smoke he shot the guns out of their hands.
Bamboozle had Tom Brady, slammed his face down on the bar.
Bambino just held his rifle, flashed a smile, and then he flashed his star.
7.) Grandpa swung into action, pickin' up the bullets and pillows.
Bunny said "Yeah, clean up this mess, or no more Sasparillas!"
Was hopin' for some good, clean, fun, if you get what I'm sayin'...
Riley at the piano, just keeps on playin'…
