SUMMER TO REMEMBER
(RKB, 4/99, B, 5:18)
1.) Sandy, I'm writing this letter to say, I've been thinking about you here at school since I got up today.
Term paper's about done, and soccer season's long through. Had lots of time for searching girl, but there's no
one here like you.
C1) Oh I know, we had a summer to remember. You introduced me to someone I needed to know. All my life, I was
just a pretender. Now here in December, I remember you.
2.) Danny, your letter came today. Just the touch I needed, from the boy so far away. Things are cool. Keeping
busy all right. Settin' up for the big youth rally this Friday night.
C2) Oh I know, we had a summer to remember. I finally shared my faith like Jesus taught me to. Joyful and sad,
your heart was oh so tender. You bowed to surrender. I remember you.
M8) Givin' tracks at the carnival, or diggin' bands down by Charlotte Bay. Learning chords on our guitars,
and songs we tried to play. I still run them through my mind, but sometimes I change the tune. Marking time, countin'
the months 'til June.
3.) Sandy, tell me you haven't changed. Seems like in this crazy world nobody stays the same. Tell me you still
talk to God everyday. Tell me you're still pure and shining bright like heaven's gate.
C3) Oh I know, we had a summer to remember. What about the future? Well we don't know for sure. Trust and hope
in the one who holds our tomorrows. But always forever, I'll remember you. Always forever, I'll remember you.
