TOGETHER

(Written by Rob Bolton, 1997)

1.) Eye to eye, heart to heart. Such beautiful promises we pour. / But truth to truth, fact to fact, we've never really stood here before. / We've prepared the wedding trimmings, but who can prepare themselves? / We're hoping it's all just happily-ever-after. / For better or worse, and what if it is worse? / Will we have the strength to still share love and laughter?

CHORUS.) Together we'll stand, together we may fall, / But by God's grace we'll rise on up together. / United by the son, who alone can make us one, / And knit our hearts together, forever.

2.) Who can count the cost? Only time will tell, / If there's really any meaning to this day. / Still, I love you so, and I need for you to know, / I'm trusting Christ to lead us all the way.

CHORUS.) as above.

BRIDGE.) A three-fold cord is not easily broken. / A house built on the rock will certainly stand. / If we'll but heed the words he's spoken, / And shown us, let him hold us in his hand.

(Instrumental interlude, featuring trumpet.)

3.) Eye to eye, heart to heart. / Our beautiful promises we pour. / But truth to truth, oh, fact to fact: Only Jesus ever loved you more.

CHORUS.) As above.
