HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Welcome back to the great DAVE CLARK FIVE - USA PAGE .

It's been fun, but...

THIS WEB PAGE WILL CLOSE ON MARCH 30, 2010

Why? Well, the entire "Bolton Family Website" is getting less and less readership, for several reasons. Our own band is no longer active, and our grown-up kids are no longer playing on sports teams that are hungry for updates. And most significantly, people display their activities through Facebook and MySpace, not through standard web pages anymore. For the DC5 page specifically: readership is down. There are plenty of other sources for the information herein, and there is no compelling reason to keep this site up. (And no, Dave didn't ask us to shut down, or anything like that.) It's been a wonderful 10-year run, with many meaningful moments. Highlights included getting to know Mike & Charlie Smith, Ron Ryan, and several wonderful fans. It's been a pleasure to re-enjoy the 1960's with so many of you.

NEWS FLASH: On the newest DC5 itunes release "The Ballads", there's one rare gem that's not been previously released. I speak of their beautiful recording "Love Me Tender". Five stars! Mike Smith renders this song so passionately! The backing music is unique, and fits perfectly, as Mike steals Elvis' hit and makes it his own. One of the most moving DC5 tracks ever!

UNIQUE FEATURE: (If you can handle it!)

Our humble family band, "The Boltons" loves creating music, and we've recorded, but never released, several DC5 songs. Just for fun, we're putting two of them on line every month. We generally do our own interpretation of the songs. We're not trying to mimic them, because who could compete with Mike's voice? Or Denny's sax?
